Rotary Vacuum Paddle Dryer will be of 26000 ltrs (gross) capacity & 15600 ltrs charging capacity. It is a horizontal cylindrical vessel with a dished end on one side & another dished end flanged & bolted on the other side.

The dryer shell & the dished ends are jacketed with guide channels between the shall & the jacket to provide direction to the heating medium for high efficiency heat transfer.

Rotary Vacuum Paddle Dryer will have a large hollow internal shaft which is internally heated & provides indirect heat transfer area through agitator & paddles. Paddles will have specially designed Blades. The clearances between blades and shell will be very low. Blades of the agitator are designed in such a way that in one direction of rotation of agitator wet material is spread, turned, lifted and dropped so that new particles come in contact with heat transfer area & release of moisture is very fast. After the wet material is completely dry, the direction of Rotation of agitator is reversed, discharge valve at the bottom opened, & dry product is Automatically discharged in a container from the bottom of the dryer.

Rotary Vacuum Paddle Dryer has two heavy duty trunnions to support the hollow shaft Agitator. These trunnions in turn on supported on two nos. roller bearings. Housing of the Bearings are in welded ocnes on two dished ends of the dryer agitator. Once assembled in our shop after proper & accurate alignment, it becomes permanently aligned & the alignment cannot be disturbed during maintenance.

One of the trunnions is hollow & steam inlet into the agitator is through a pipe & outlet .Through annular space is effected by using a specially designed rotary system in the Hollow Agitator. Agitator is also provided with large stuffing boxes & area of trunnion in contact with glands is hard surfaced & machined for very long life.

The Agitator is driven at the desired speed means of chain & sprocket arrangement & a Reduction gear with a suitable motor set mounted on a common bed plate. A control panel is provided with reversible starter, overload relays, indicating lemons, & isolating switches.

On the top of the Rotary Vacuum Dryer, there are two nozzles one for charging the wet product & the other for exit moisture . A quick opening door is provided on the charging Nozzles & a specially designed dust catcher is provided on the second nozzle. If small particles try to get entrained along with vapor being sucked under vacuum, the same are arrested in the dust catcher, & fall back into the dryer due to vibration of filter cloth in the dust catcher. At the bottom of the dryer is a dry product discharge nozzle fitted with a quick opening discharge of new design.

A Condenser of adequate heat transfer area will need to be provided which is connected with dust catcher at one end & a receiver at the other end . Receiver is connected with Vacuum Pump. Evaporation will be at low temp because of high vacuum.

The whole drying system is like a selected unit working under vacuum with no contamination from atmosphere. Almost entire solvent is recovered & the product becomes dry with min.

Two nos. multi bag, SS316 cage supported dust collector of 30M2 filtration area each will be provided with a vacuum connection for extraction of moisture / solvent vapors from the system to facilitate the drying process. The dust collector body is also provided with a jacket for heating to prevent condensate accumulation during vapor evacuation.
